Traditional Swedish massage uses  a combination of 5 basic movements; long gliding strokes known as effleurage, kneeding strokes called petrissage, cross fiber friction, tappodiment , vibration and shaking. These srokes make-up a massage that is provided in a relaxing atmosphere and together, assist the recepient to release stress and anxiety and to improve circulation.

REIKI
Reiki is an energy healing modality. The reki practitioner is trained to access and serve as a channel for the energy (Qi) that flows through our bodies. In a reiki healing session the practitioner places their hands on near the client’s body in order to activate healing energy.  There are twelve positions on the body, through which the practitioner will move. Time is allocated to each position based on energy stagnation, depletion or excess.  Healing returns the client to more natural state of balance in the  physical, mental, and spiritual elements.

MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUE
Muscle energy technique is a noninvasive therapy which is used to normalize joint dysfunction and increase joint range of motion. The primary area of dysfunction is identified and the affected joint in positioned that enables the client to perform gentle isometric contractions. These specific actions facilitate restoration of correct neuromuscular and joint function.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (
PNF )stretching
PNF stretching is a combination of  passive stretching and isometric contractions. The therapist asks the recepient to contract the tight muscle isometrically against the therapist's resistance for roughly 20 seconds. This technique utilizes the golgi tendon organ, which relaxes a muscle after a sustained contraction has been applied to it for longer than 6 seconds.  Then, the recepient relaxes and the therapist lengthens the muscle and applies a stretch at the new end range. This process of contract, resist, stretch continues for 3-4 repetitions.
PNF leg, arm and trunk positions encourage flexibility and coordination. They are often employed to make quick gains in range of motion ROM. Good ROM supports better biomechanics, reduces fatigue and helps prevent overuse injuries.
